What LSM99 is
LSM99 is an independent casino review site. We take the licence number printed on an operator’s site and open the regulator’s own register entry for it before that brand goes on a list, we read the bonus terms to the last clause, and we tell you which payout figures are the operator’s own words rather than ours. No account was opened at any of the 20 casinos reviewed here, and no payout was timed, so nothing on this site is presented as a measured cashout. Where something could not be verified, the page says so instead of guessing. This page is the map to how all of that works, with a link to every policy that sits behind a score.
How we work
Four pages explain the standards behind every ranking on the site, and they are worth reading before you trust a number here.
Our scoring method sets out the six weighted sections behind every score and what each one measures. Our editorial policy explains who decides what gets published and how we keep commercial relationships out of the ratings. Our how we make money page is the plain version of the affiliate arrangement: we earn a commission on some links, it does not change what you pay, and it does not move a score. Our corrections policy tells you how to report an error and what we do with it.
Who writes this
Every review and market page carries a named author and a named fact-checker, and they are never the same person. This is a two person desk: Alana Hippensteele on editorial standards, the scoring method and corrections, Aristotelis Kourtelis on licensing, KYC, self-exclusion and the legal section. One writes a page, the other checks it, and the byline shows which way round it went. Both profiles, with what each person covers and everything they have written or checked, are on the authors page.

Alana Hippensteele is the Managing Editor of LSM99 and the person whose name sits behind the site's editorial standards. She has run the newsroom since 2024. The job is unglamorous and mostly administrative in the best sense: she assigns every casino review and market page, sets the brief for each writer, and signs off the final fact-check before anything goes live. Nothing publishes on LSM99 without passing across her desk. She owns the editorial policy, the scoring methodology and the corrections process, which means when a rating is wrong she is the person who has to answer for it.
