Short answer

iDEAL is a Dutch bank transfer, authorised inside your own banking app, so a deposit is instant and irreversible with no chargeback route. Not one of the twenty casinos reviewed here publishes iDEAL, and none holds a Kansspelautoriteit licence. Where an operator takes a bank push, the money returns by SEPA transfer instead, which their own figures put at 1 to 5 banking days.

How to deposit with iDEAL

  1. 1 Choose your bank before you choose the amount The scheme routes you by bank, not by card scheme, so the selector comes first. None of the twenty brands reviewed here lists iDEAL at all. The nearest equivalents they do list are Zimpler at BoaBoa, OnlyWin32 and Ritzo21, open banking at Immerion4 and SlotRoyals, and Rapid Transfer at 30bet and StakePrix.
  2. 2 Approve the transfer in your own banking environment Authorisation happens on your bank's screen, with your own credentials, and the credit transfer is created there. No card number is exposed and no card scheme sits behind the payment. This is why the casino sees the money as settled rather than authorised.
  3. 3 Land back on the cashier and check the balance figure A completed push shows up immediately, which is the whole selling point. Compare the credited amount against the operator's stated deposit minimum before you play: 25 euro at Nords Casino and FoggyBet, 10 euro at 30bet, 20 euro on Flexepin at Nords Casino.
  4. 4 Note that a bank deposit is penalised harder than a wallet one Clause 6.8 at BoaBoa, Nomini and WinGaga withholds 10% of an unstaked last deposit, and 15% where that deposit arrived by card or bank transfer. Paying in through a bank rail puts you in the more expensive half of that clause from the first euro.

How to withdraw with iDEAL

  1. 1 Accept that the money is coming back by a different rail Nobody in this batch pays out to iDEAL, because nobody accepts it. In practice the return leg is a SEPA credit transfer to an IBAN, or an e-wallet. Nords Casino and FoggyBet both take bank transfers in and pay out to four e-wallets only, so a bank depositor there has to open a wallet to be paid.
  2. 2 Supply an IBAN in the account holder's own name The account you deposit from and the account you are paid to have to belong to the same person, and operators enforce it at the payout end. Nords Casino's clause 9.6.1a allows voided winnings and forfeiture where funds arrive from somebody else's instrument. A joint account in a partner's name is the common way this goes wrong.
  3. 3 Clear document checks before the balance matters LugarBet1 states 1 to 3 business days after documents are verified, which puts the document review outside the published window. Approval alone is stated at 2 days there, with notice of a delay owed only after 10.
  4. 4 Measure the request against the bank transfer minimum Bank rails carry their own floors. Nomini, WinGaga and Ritzo21 ask 10 euro by bank transfer, 30bet and OnlyWin32 ask 20 euro, StakePrix asks 30 euro by wire, LugarBet1 asks 50 euro and FoxyFlush asks 100 euro.
  5. 5 Count banking days and check whether you are inside SEPA Interbank settlement does not run at weekends and the operator's finance desk may not either. FoggyBet's FAQ names roughly 20 euro on bank transfers outside SEPA, and OnlyWin32 restricts processing to Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 GMT+3.

Where it works

iDEAL in one paragraph

iDEAL is a Dutch online payment scheme that runs on bank transfers rather than cards. You pick your bank, you authorise the payment inside your own banking app with your own credentials, and your bank creates a credit transfer to the merchant. There is no card number in the flow and no card network behind it. That structure is why Dutch players trust it: nothing is delegated to a third party, and the money is genuinely settled rather than authorised. It also produces the two consequences that matter at a casino, and they pull in opposite directions.

Instant, and therefore final

A push payment has no undo. Card transactions sit inside a scheme with a dispute process and a liability chain; a bank authorised transfer that you created has neither. If an operator later refuses to pay, freezes the account, or invokes a clause you had not read, your bank is not a route back to the money. Your options are the operator’s own complaints process and whatever regulator stands behind the licence. Look at the twenty operators reviewed here before assuming that is a comfortable position: six of them cannot evidence the licence they imply, and BoaBoa, Nomini and WinGaga name no regulator at all. Speed on the way in is not a safety feature.

Accepted going in, absent coming out

Here is the structural problem, and it is not specific to the Netherlands. iDEAL is a deposit rail. There is no consumer facing payout equivalent, so the money returns as an ordinary SEPA credit transfer to an IBAN, or through an e-wallet, and that leg is slower and hand checked. The twenty reviews on this site show the pattern clearly even without iDEAL in the list. Nords Casino and FoggyBet both accept bank transfers on the way in and pay out to four e-wallets only, so a bank depositor has to open a Skrill or Jeton account at the exact moment they have won. DripCasino declares 0 to 24 hours on wallets and crypto against five banking days on bank transfer. StakePrix declares up to 24 hours on 14 of its 16 methods and up to four banking days by wire. Every one of those durations is the operator’s published claim, not a figure timed here.

There is a fee twist too. Clause 6.8 at BoaBoa, Nomini and WinGaga withholds 10% of an unstaked last deposit, rising to 15% where the deposit arrived by card or bank transfer. Paying in through a bank rail costs half again as much under the same clause.

One person, one name, on both legs

Operators enforce a same person rule at the payout end and it catches more players than any other clause. Nords Casino’s clause 9.6.1a allows voided winnings and forfeiture of the balance, not merely a reversed deposit, where funds arrive from a third party instrument. 1xSlot’s clause 3 pays back only through the method the deposit arrived on. OnlyWin32 says the same in clause 9.3. If the deposit left a joint account, or a partner’s account, or a business account, the name on the return leg will not match and the balance is at risk. Fix that before the first deposit, not after a win.

The Dutch position, stated plainly

The Netherlands licenses remote gambling through the Kansspelautoriteit, and a KSA licensed operator has obligations an offshore one simply does not carry, including checking CRUKS, the central exclusion register, before letting you play. CRUKS is the reason this distinction is not academic. An exclusion registered there is honoured by licensed operators; it does not travel to a site outside that regime, because nothing connects the two. None of the twenty brands reviewed on this site holds a KSA licence. They hold Malta, Kahnawake, Tobique, Curacao and Anjouan paper, and six cannot be evidenced in any public register. If you are in the Netherlands and comparing an offshore brand against a licensed one, you are not comparing two versions of the same thing. Start with the payments hub and the licence checks in each review.

Frequently asked questions

Which of the casinos reviewed here take iDEAL?

None of them. All twenty review files were checked and not one lists iDEAL among its deposit or withdrawal methods. The bank rails that do appear are Zimpler, open banking, Rapid Transfer, Revolut, N26, Bancontact, BLIK, Giropay, Klarna and plain bank transfer.

If an operator refuses to pay, can my bank claw the deposit back?

No. A push payment created by you in your own banking app has no scheme dispute behind it, unlike a Visa or Mastercard transaction. Your recourse is the operator's complaints route and its regulator, which is exactly why the regulator on the footer matters more here than anywhere else.

Why does the payout come back as a plain bank transfer?

Because the deposit rail is one directional. The operator holds an IBAN and sends a SEPA credit transfer to it, which is a slower and manually reviewed process. DripCasino declares five banking days on bank transfer against 0 to 24 hours on wallets and crypto, and that gap is the whole asymmetry.

Can I deposit from a shared or family account?

It is the fastest way to lose a balance. Nords Casino's clause 9.6.1a treats funds from a third party instrument as grounds for voiding winnings and forfeiting the balance, not just reversing that deposit. Deposit leg and payout leg must both sit in your own name.

Does a Kansspelautoriteit licence come with the iDEAL button?

The two travel together in practice, and neither is present here. Every operator reviewed on this site is licensed elsewhere or cannot evidence a licence at all: Malta, Kahnawake, Tobique, Curacao, Anjouan, or nothing published. A KSA licensed site and an offshore site are not the same product under Dutch law.

Does CRUKS apply if I play at an offshore casino?

No, and that is the point worth understanding before you register. CRUKS is checked by operators licensed in the Netherlands. A site outside that licensing regime is not connected to the register, so an exclusion you set does not follow you there. See our [responsible gambling](/responsible-gambling/) page for the tools that do work.

What does a bank payout cost?

Usually nothing on the operator side, with named exceptions. FoggyBet's FAQ names roughly 20 euro on transfers outside SEPA. Vegasy charges 5% with a 3.50 dollar floor on card payouts while charging zero on crypto. Several terms, including clause 9.12 at Nords Casino, reserve administrative costs without ever printing a figure.
